If you were my friend, then...
Conditioning statements are useless. There should be question, no doubt, nothing.
Our conversations shouldn't feel like constipation. Forced. Painful.
The random happenings, stopped.
We no longer exchanged the little things, the little things that mattered.
To be honest, it hurts the most to lose a friend than it does a lover. The attraction did not fade, the connection is not lost.
The hellos and how are you's just stopped.
Goodbye is painful, even more painful when the friendship that was true for me, was probably a facade for you.
